i have been the 'wonder boy' in when i played for the aspirants team while being just in grade 7,
and now again as i become a young gun of the candidates. astig actualy, kasi the way i see it,
i have nothing to lose. if i make a mistake or something, may excuse (im young!..ahahah), tapos
when i do something real good, highlighted talaga. astig. ahahah =)
anyway, during the summer i started to play in the nike futsal (indoor football) tournament under my new coach bob. i was with
the 4th yr ppl plus the team B of the college. wala talo kami sa ilang crucial games..vs sunday fc, feu,
tapos meron pang isa, i forgot. basta.. ok lang..we played this superb game vs a la salle team. i scored twice!
heheh, we ended up with 9-6. ito yung astig sa futsal: high scoring, fast paced, tapos the momentum / tides change
VERY often. hehe, siguro if very well popularized, magugustuhan to ng mga pilipino. oh wel
afterwards, we played in 2 tournaments almost simultaneously: the bro. oscaris cup and the
under-19. the latter was that thing that manifested my being this 'wonder boy' the most (tama ba yung grammar?).
ehehe.. (we won all the way [and one draw] to the finals! that was against san beda..2-1).
the former was when i did the most stupidest thing:
we were playing against marist, and we were up by 5 IN the first half.... i funnelled my small opponent towards the
left sideline. i gained possession of the ball, and, just before it went out, i tried to save it with a not so brilliant slide.
not so brilliant because 1) the ball did went out, and it was theirs now and 2) i got a DEEP wound in my right knee, which hit
the sideline's rock (yeah, their sidelines are made of one long flat slab of rock!! fudge!), which also needed stitching. i got 4
stitches.. so i couldn't play for a while.
jams team
i didn't get to play for the finals coz of this, and we lost to xavier through
penalty kicks.. i also missed the trip to dumaguete (shucks sayang!!) for the under-19 national finals..and talo rin sila
to dumaguete for 1st.

i took this in 3 views: with yabang coz i felt i was indispensable! ehehe..tsaka with frustration kasi wala akong magawa abt my injury and
the missed games and trips and all, and lastly, with hiya kasi parang pa-star na naman yung dating ko...
oh well. i remember having played in the alaska cup..but im not really sure when. anyway, we were handicapped,
because kulang kulang yung lineup namin. but, thanks to rich blaylock for his return from basketball,
we were able to win the 7-a-side tournament. i was co-mvp with our keeper miguel villadolid! :)
then, the rifa tournament started, and we were on top again. just before the finals, we had this jesuit athletic meet,
a mini sports tournament where the jesuit schools nationwide competed in various sports. it was held in cebu.
we won all the 7-a-side games, and our smallest score margin was i think 6 or 7. xavier wasn't there..sayang. gandang
game sana yun.
sa cebu! there's my crutch..hehe
here happened another stupid thing: in the game against ateneo de cagayan,
i pushed too hard. i stole the ball from an opponent, pushed it, had an opponent ready to clear/steal
it away, stretched out my leg, had him kick full swing, and busted my knee. i think i sprained it.. di
ko magalaw e. mannn.. i was with crutches for a week...and still inactive for another. when we got back, i
also missed the finals against claret!! pucha! we lost by a surprising 0-3. fudge talaga! x(
the high school selection tournament came about. due to stupid
injuries (his..hehe), i only got to play with mickee gimarino, one of the best
in the midfield line, in just one game. that was against don bosco, where we
clobbered them 7-0 or so. sayang.. hehehe. oh well. still, we reached the finals, and we won against xavier, 4-0.
the rest of the team :)
